We are moving forward in our Business class and enjoying every week of it. There is so much to learn, grasp and implement in my professional and personal area.
What did I learn from Week 9 Disciples leadership?
There is great responsibility with the knowledge acquire and the power that can be gain as a result of it. Being kind and understanding to people around us, co-workers, employers and clients is crucial for a successful and fulfill career; keeping an awareness where our ethical rails stand and be committed with ourselves and heavenly father that we won’t cross that path will bring peace of mind, peace in our heart and blessings in life.
The ethical personality on the reading : “A message to Garcia” of acting by prompts and be problem solver; to see obstacles as opportunities to grow and deliver the best of our own persona and service bring a lot of personal rewards and professional satisfactions. I have been blessed in life for displaying that pattern and behavior since early age. I had countless blessings and mentors that had guided me thanks to this personal behavior. I am trying to teach my 13-year-old boy the principle and rewards of such to act and to be a problem solver to be independent thinker and to search for the answer when the answer is not there or is questionable.
Practicing personal commitment and personal growth not matter what age or stage of life you are will always bring you unexpected rewards, thing and experiences that we could have ever though was possible.
In the video Aspects of Building Trust by Guy Kawasaki, he mentioned an important golden rule to trust people first, and they will trust you back. Is a principle I had implemented in my pet care business; I had served over 1000 plus homes and numerous pets in my community for over 11 years. I am grateful for the trust my clients place on me and family, they trust me with their precious possessions: their pets, their homes, their alarm system code, their house keys and so forth I provide reliability, discretion and respect to every home I visit.
What am I looking forward to learning and experiencing?
I enjoyed the article of “ GOOD TO GREAT” by Jim Collins it contains valuable information in the area I am lacking the most. I am intimidated to hire people, to hire personnel, to expand, I have been very cautious and reluctant to take such steps in many business niches and for this they can only reach a limited size of growth and income. I had loss business opportunities due to such fear.
I need to work on that aspect of my phobia to deal with employees and whatever experiences I had lived or witnessed in the past is not good enough reason to handicap the growth of my business for the lack of taking the next growth step; by assessing all the possibilities and arriving to the final description to make it by analysis and careful study and not be led by my fear.
The gift of faith, I am grateful for the gift of faith, for the opportunity to see and recognized miracles around me, family and community thanks to my beliefs and conviction of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.
